Estimates, not wartime returns. The Ardennes Campaign Simulation Data Base (1990) built these figures by dividing 10-day and monthly German army totals among divisions and spreading them over the days, an active day counting 6.5 times an inactive one. That is why a division can show the same figures for days on end. Days the report marks as resting on daily wartime data carry a ◆.
All 42 units, by day
Sums of the values read. About 4% of values could not be read with confidence and are left out, so a day's total can fall short.
