Détachement Frangais de Palestine et Syrie (less cavalry)—Colonel P. de Piépape—was attached to the 54th Division from 12/9-28/9/18, for co-operation in the Battle of Sharon (Battles of Megiddo). D.F.P.S. comprised 7e/ler Tirailleurs Algériens, 9e/2e Tirailleurs Algériens, ler and 2e Bns. Arméniens, 1 Territorial Bn., 1 Coy. Svrians, 1 Sqdn. (dismtd.) Spahis, and 1, 80-mum., 1, 75-mm., and 1, 65-mm. (mountain) Batteries. (D.F.P.S. was approximately a Brigade.)
